Community Engagement

As we are developing recommendations to shape the future of your community, we are committed to keeping you informed and engaged every step of the way.

Community Advisory Committee

When we started this study, we set out to involve community leaders in the process to plan for a future of the North-South Corridor that is more walkable, liveable, sustainable, and equitable.

We are meeting with our Community Advisory Committee at key milestones throughout the project to get their input on gathering data, identifying opportunities and constraints, discussing policies that both protect current residents and foster development, and developing findings and draft recommendations.

Public Involvement Opportunities

Public Meeting

Come learn about ways in which the City is looking to create job opportunities and provide housing along transit routes! This public meeting will focus on how Winston-Salem hopes to achieve equitable and affordable development opportunities around the new Winston-Salem Transit Authority (WSTA) bus routes to improve how you travel, provide more opportunities for jobs and foster a vibrant downtown community. You will have the opportunity to ask questions to the City and Winston-Salem Transit Authority staff.
